Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter from Mexico, was born to an adored family of musicians. Her childhood was spent listening to classical Boleros from the past and the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana loves tangos as well opera and dramatic performances. She was taught by her mother to sing, however she started intensive singing lessons through Flavio Belcerra at 16 when the singer was famous as a Mexican opera Tenor. Her musical education continued through the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera choruses and chamber ensembles. After moving in the United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002, she made her way to Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. Ana is involved in a variety of local initiatives in both teaching and performer because of her enthusiasm for music and arts. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher of The Performance Loft. Ana is a fan of traditional Latin American songs and hopes that she can inspire others to do the same.
