Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri dixit is famous Indian actress, known for roles in Hum Aapke Hain Koun. Her first fame was her 1980s role in Tezaab, in which she co-starred with an established actor Anil Koopor. In the following film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared alongside her. The daughter of a middle class family in Mumbai she was able to learn dance from a very young age. When she was still in high school, she attempted acting, however most of those early films did not succeed. She eventually found success and went on to become one of the most prominent actors on the Indian film business. She decided to take a break from acting due to her marriage, before going back to the world of entertainment. In the past, she was in a crucial role in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the challenges faced by women in India. Dixit received 8 Filmfare Awards out of the fifteen nominations she received. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honour in India. Social work by her is well-known.
